Pulled out the old(which is a PITA to get to) and replaced it. So I replace the coil still nothing.Īt this point it was only a couple other things it could be. When I checked it with a meter it was telling me It was dead(multi-meter on positive and negative and it gave me continuity). So I traced it down tho what I thought was the coil. A few days later it comes back and I hook it all back up. That next day I go out and hit the key and all it does is crank! Well $*&#! So figuring that the SKIM locked the ECM I sent it out to be removed and have the Jeep Vin added to the ECM. That was the end of the day so I called it quits till the next day. I disconnected it and thought I had it figured out after running it 3 times for 5-8min I thought i was good. As i talked with some friends and started looking into things I was fearing that the SKIM(Security key Immobilizer) unit was shutting it down since the jeep had it and the truck didn't. I had fired up the Jeep and it only ran for about a minute before it shut down. So this gets us close to where we are today.
